ONION BREAD TWISTS
Great with soup, salad or as a snack
Makes: 18 4" twists
1 loaf frozen whole-wheat or white bread dough, thawed ½ cup onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese Vegetable cooking spray
Let dough rise until doubled in size. Roll out on lightly floured surface to an 18 x 10" rectangle. Sprinkle with
onion and cheese. Fold in half. Seal ends. Cut dough into 1-inch wide strips about 4 inches in length. Twist strips three times and place on sprayed baking pans.
Cover. Let rise 30 minutes in a warm place. Oven: 400oF. Time: 12-15 minutes

COOKIE CUT-OUTS
Soft, puffy cookies that are sure to please the child in each of us!
Makes: 6 dozen cut outs
1 cup soft-tub vegetable margarine 1½ cups sugar 1 cup nonfat plain or vanilla yogurt ½ cup frozen egg substitute, thawed or 4 large egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon almond extract 5 cups all-purpose flour 2½ teaspoons baking powder 1¼ teaspoons baking soda
Cream the margarine and sugar, add yogurt and egg
substitute. Mix well. Add flavoring; gradually add dry ingredients to the batter. Mix well working in the flour. Chill thoroughly. Roll dough ¼" thick on very lightly
floured board. Use minimum of flour. Sprinkle with colored sugar, raisins, snowflake, cinnamon or sequin decors and bake. Cookies can also be baked plain and decorated with
icing when cooled. Oven: 375oF. Time: 6-8 minutes
